Our Pre-school is open Monday to Friday during term time only and full details are available in the Calendar section of our website.
Open times;
Breakfast club - 8am to 9am - this is for children from Latchingdon Church of England Primary School and the pre-school children.
Morning Session - 9am to 12pm
Afternoon Session - 12pm - 3pm - this session includes lunch
Non-attendance
To comply with our agreement for grant funding with the local authority all non -attendance of funded pre-school children needs to be recorded, and a reason why the non-attendance has occured noted. If your child is unable to attend pre-school please could you call 07731 107725 or message the pre-school via face book before 9.00am to confirm the absence and give a reason.

Our policy is that if sessions are booked they must be paid for, even if your child misses a session due to illness or holiday.
Payment
Fees are paid half termly or weekly in advance by agreement. Those not in receipt of funding will receive an invoice at the start of the term.
This should be paid within the first two weeks of the next half term.
Payment is preferred by bank transfer, but cash can be accepted. We also accept 30 hour funding and government tax free childcare.
Funding Opportunities
Some children are eligible for funding from 2 years old.
To be eligible you will need to fit into the following criteria;
you will be eligible if you are getting a form of support, including:
- Income Support
- income Support Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
- Income related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments
- The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credits, Working Tax Credit (or both), and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax
- The Working Tax Credit 4 week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
You'll also be eligible if any of the following apply to your child:
- They're looked after by a local council
- They have a education health and care (EHC) plan
- They get Disability Allowance
- They've left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order.
The table below for 3 or 4 year old funding is also correct for 2 year old funding (instead of third birthday it would read second birthday).
Please speak to the manager if you feel you may be eligible for this funding.
Free Entitlement - Free early learning for three and four year olds.
Free entitlement gives children the best start in life, through learning and playing with other children in a safe and structured environment.
From April 2024 we will also be offering 2 year old funded places for working parents. This will initially be for 15 hours per week and will follow the same criteria as the 15 hour extended funding.
What you are entitled to
All three and four year olds are entitled to a maximum of 15 hours of free nursery education for a maximum of 38 weeks of the year. This applies until they reach compulsory school age (the term following their fifth birthday). Free nursery education can take place in nurseries, playgroups, pre-schools or at their childminders.
Latchingdon Pre-School use 3 hour sessions. One 3 hour session in the morning and one 3 hour session in the afternoon.
For more information about free nursery education in your area, contact your Family Information Service (FIS).The FIS provides information, advice and assistance to parents, carers, and professionals on the range of children, family and young people's services available within the area.
We also offer the 15 hour extended funding, to be eligible for this you must fit the following criteria:
- You, and your partner, must each expect to earn (on average) at least £120.00 a week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible.
- You can't get 30 hours free childcare if you, or your partner, expect to earn £100,000 or more.
